Lower School Teacher’s Aide
Anna Julia Cooper School (AJC) is seeking a caring and reliable Teacher’s Aide to support our Lower School classrooms. The ideal candidate enjoys working with elementary-aged students and is eager to support both their academic and social-emotional growth. Prior experience working with children is preferred.
AJC is an independent, faith-based school that provides full-tuition scholarships to K–8th grade students of limited economic resources from Richmond’s East End. Our mission is to love, educate, and uplift our students and graduates so that they may realize their God-given gifts. The successful candidate will be committed to supporting this mission and helping students grow academically, persevere through challenges, and care for others.
The Teacher’s Aide works closely with the Lead Teacher(s) to support classroom instruction, student supervision, and daily classroom needs. This role may include working in multiple classrooms and assisting with school activities and events.
The position may be full-time or part-time for the 2026–2027 school year. Compensation is based on experience and abilities (includes full benefits & 401K for full-time employees).
